This Reiki 1 Certification is the introductory training which will enable you to use Reiki for yourself and to support your family, pets and cleanse your home environment.
Reiki is an energy healing practice connecting to universal life energy to support balance and wellbeing. This universal life energy is within and around each of us. Therefore, Reiki is a practice which is always present in a supportive capacity, and is deeply empowering.
Integrative-Shakti Reiki 1 Certification Training provides a wonderful framework to cultivate your ability to sense and clear energies and support your intuition. Through this practice your may notice new awarenesses into how you manage daily life and maintain your inner balance.
This training is a positively empowering and a helpful practice for all! It may be particularly supportive if you feel sensitive to the energies of people and environments, and you are looking for supportive practices to mangage stress and promote vitality and balance.

How can Reiki 1 help?
Reiki 1 can support you to maintain health and wellbeing, and promote recovery from illness and injury.

Reiki 1 can be used to offer energetic support to your family, pets, your home environment and plants.
Reiki 1 introduces you to the energetic systems of the body, and the energetic nature of reality.
Reiki 1 supports you to read and balance energies using your hands, pendulum’s, crystals and sound.
Reiki 1 Certification is required in order to move onto Reiki 2 Certification Training.
Training Details
We meet for 2 classes on 22nd Feb 2026 (9.30am - 4.30pm Pacific Time) and 15th March 2026 (9.30am - 1.00pm Pacific Time)
Location Beyond Karate, 2358 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, California, 90405.
The first class incorporates an introduction to Reiki, background, uses, the lineages of Usui, Tibetan and Integrative Shakti Reiki in addition to meditations and experiential practice. You receive an attunement in which you are initiated into the lineage of these teachings. You receive a manual and learning materials in PDF format.
You are required to undertake a home study practice between the classes in which you deepen your self-healing practice for 21 days and journal about your experiences.
Receive your Level 1 Certificate in Integrative-Shakti Reiki on completion.
Communications between classes are welcomed via email and/or our what’s app group as a resource and support for your learning.
This is an in-person training, although accommodations can be made for students unable to travel to LA. In this instance, a zoom to the class will be offered.

To save your spot a $200 deposit is required. Payment plans are available on request.
Instructors
Dr Jess Lakin, Certified Integrative-Shakti Reiki Master
Jess Lakin is an experienced Reiki Master, who has been practicing Reiki since 2018. She runs her private Reiki practice from West LA. She is also a Holistic Coach, Sound Healer, Meditation Guide and Clinical Psychologist (UK) and brings over 25 years experience within health, mental health and holistic wellbeing services. Reiki has become a way of life which guides her personally, and is also integrated into her broader offerings. She is passionate to share through Reiki Trainings and has supported many students integrate Reiki into their lives to support well-being and growth.
Debbie Hawksworth, Certified Integrative-Shakti Reiki Master & Usui Reiki Master
Debbie is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, and has trained within the Integrative-Shakti and Usui Reiki lineages. She is also an Occupational Therapist with 20 years experience and a Certified Life Coach, Breathwork facilitator and Indian Head Masseur. Bridging western and holistic practices, Debbie provides a wealth of experience and provides a nurturing space for clients to deep dive into self understanding, supporting them to step into a fulfilled life.
